Our Story

In December of 1992, the Mikveh Association of Long Island purchased a dwelling located at 97 Southern Parkway in Plainview, which would be the site of the future Mikveh. For several years, funds were raised for the design and construction of the Mikveh. Plans for the completed facility included a beautiful and tranquil Mikveh pool, modern preparation rooms and a separate Keilim Mikveh in which to immerse utensils. Care was taken to select high quality, natural materials that would provide an environment of aesthetic beauty, while ensuring safety and ease of maintenance.

In the spring of 2002, our Mikveh opened for the very first time, providing our community with a beautiful and dignified setting in which women could observe the important mitzvah of family purity, a core component of Jewish life.
